At US Open 2013, New York, USA
[Q2] (6) Somdev Devvarman (IND,113) bt Robby Ginepri (USA,252) 76(4) 26 62
[Q3] (6) Somdev Devvarman (IND,113) vs James Ward (GBR,175)
Buji was favorite here though in their last meeting in Cincinnati three years ago Buji lost against Robby ... Match was hampered by rain delays ... Buji won the tight first set in tie-break ... In the second set Robby broke Buji in 3rd game to lead 2-1 and then with another break he won it comfortably ... In the final set Buji showed aggressiveness which was missing in the 1st two sets ... He broke Robby twice to won this set and enter into the final qualifying ... As per onlookers both players played average tennis and Buji's 1st and 2nd serves were looking pathetic ... Need to improve against Britisher James Ward.
