Sindhu had tricky match against her Japanese opponent Kaori Imabeppu ... In the first game Kaori was leading 9-6 then 13-10 but Sindhu won 4 points from 13-14 and take the lead ... Sindhu converted third game point for winning this game ... In the second game Kaori opened 4-0 lead which she extended to 8-2 and then 9-5 ... Sindhu caught her at 9-all and take 15-12 annd then 18-15 lead ... But Kaori won five points in a row from 16-19 to won this game ... In the decider also Kaori take 5-0 and then 8-5 lead but Sindhu caught her at 8-all ... From 10-all Sindhu opened 14-10 lead which she kept ... Kaori reduced to one point for couple of times but Sindhu didn't lose the grip and completed victory after 71 minutes ... Next she is facing WR #2 Yihan Wang.
In shocking result Ajay lost against lowly ranked his Spanish opponent in straight games ... Tarun-Arun gave fighting performance against seeded Indonesian pair but lost in three games.
Yesterday I read draw incorrectly and thought Kashyap retired from the match but it was vice versa ... Kashyap's Czech opponent Petr Koukal retired from the match but at that time Petr was trailing by 9 points ... Next Kashyap is facing WR #6 Hong Kong player Yun Hu, against him Kashyap lost in both previous matches.
