Indian women came from 1-3 down to beat Germany in topsy-turvy match as our archers struggled in this match ... Second match our archers dominated after losing first set for entering into the semis ... In the semis they face Japan, after winning first set comfortably our women lose close second set ... In third our archers hit wayward arrows but they recover to win fourth set ... In shoot-off our archers score perfect 30 to win the match ... In the final they r facing Russia, Russian girls upset mighty Korean girls in shoot-off ... Good opportunity for our girls for winning their first World Championships Gold medal.

But after that Anirban struggled on the green he scored four bogeys in next five holes, 13th, 15th, 16th and 17th holes ... He finished with a birdie to end his round on PAR ... Overall missed opportunity for Anirban as he had big chance of finishing inside top-10 if he manged to handle last six holes in last two rounds ... Still this is his best finish at Open as in 2012 he finished on T31st position.

On the third day things started favoring Indians as New Zealand needed to replace Jose Statham as he was down with flu ... Buji faced doubles specialist Marcus Daniell in fourth rubber ... Buji started with breaking Marcus in 1st game to lead 2-0 ... He kept that advantage for winning it ... In the second set Buji broke Marcus in crucial 9th game before holding his serve for winning this set ... In the third Buji broke Marcus in 5th game to lead 3-2 but Marcus immediately broke Buji in 6th game, 3-all ... From 3-4 down Buji won three games in row breaking Marcus again in 9th game ... Buji hold his serve for straight sets win but match was lot closer as it was going on for 2 hours and 20 minutes ... With this win India and New Zealand were tied 2-all.

For final rubber two in-form players for each country faces each other ... Yuki started in emphatic fashion as he broke Michael in 1st game to lead 2-0 ... He again broke Michael in 7th game for winning first set comfortably ... In the second set also Yuki started with a break and again took control for winning it convincingly ... In the third set Michael raised his game and troubled Yuki on his serve ... Till 3-all both players hold their respective service games ... Yuki broke Michael in 7th game to lead 4-3 ... In 8th game Yuki hold his serve after saving couple of break points to lead 5-3 ... In 9th game Michel was serving for staying in the tie but Yuki attacked his serve ... Michael tried hard to hold but failed to stop Yuki from converting third match point ... With this win Yuki helps India to give a chance of playing in World Group play-off match.

After 1-all they won five games in a row for winning the set ... In that they broke Peya and Babos comfortably ... In second set also Lee-Martina broke Peya and Babos in 2nd and 4th games to take 4-0 lead ... And then again broke Babos in 7th game for completing win in mere 40 minutes.

Sumit lifts junior boys doubles title with his Vietnamese partner Nam Hoang Ly beating junior singles winner American Reilly Opelka and his Japanese partner Akira Santillan in straight sets ... In the first set Sumit-Nam took first break in 11th game to lead 6-5 but Sumit failed to hold while serving for the set ... Sumit-Nam took control in tie-break winning it comfortably ... In the second set also both pairs hod their respective service games till 9th game ... In 10th game Sumit-Nam broke big server Reilly Opelka, who is 6 ft 10 inches tall, to win this match ... Russian girls took crucial break on Martina's serve in 11th game for winning first set ... High quality tennis continued in second set ... Our pair had couple of break points on Makarova's serve which they failed to convert ... This set went into tie-break, our pair took double mini-break on Vesnina's serve to lead 3-0 but Russian pair brought on serve taking double mini-break on Sania's serve 4-5 ... Next on Vesnina's serve again our pair took double mini-breaks, Martina hit amazing backhand down the line on 10th point and then on set point Sania hit breathtaking forehand down the line for winning this set ... When Makarova serving for the match at 5-3 again our pair had 3 break points, 0-40, this time also Russian pair saved all three ... At deuce Sania hit very powerful service return winner in middle of the court and on next point Martina hit volley winner to bring set on the serve, 4-5 ... Next game also went to deuce before Sania holding her serve after hitting amazing running backhand cross-court winner ... At 5-all match stopped for 15 minutes for closing stadium roof ... After break our pair immediately broke Vesnina with superb returning to lead 6-5, first time in this set ... And then Martina served for Championship and hold it on luv ... Amazing victory winning five games in a row from 2-5 down in 2 hours and 31 minutes for Sania and Martina.

Sumit Nagal in the final of boys doubles with his Vietnamese partner Nam Hoang Ly ... They defeated 5th seed Miomir-Casper in well fought three sets ... In first set both pairs hold their respective service games to take this set in tie-break ... From 3-5 down Sumit-Nam won next 4 points for winning first set ... Our pair lost second set as both Nam and Sumit lose their service games ... In final set both pairs were serving well as no break points till 10-all ... Sumit-Nam broke opponents in 21st game and then Sumit served for the match ... Sumit-Nam converted 2nd match point for completing win in 2 hours 21 minutes ... In the final they r facing 4th seed American-Japanese pair.

Somdev wins 2nd challenger title of the year after beating Daniel Nguyen very unconvincing style in more than 3 and half hours long match ... Buji struggled with his serve in this match so match wasn't easy for him ... In first set Buji broke Daniel in 7th game to lead 4-3 but he failed to hold while serving for the set at 5-4 ... Buji immediately broke Daniel in 11th game and then saved 2 break points before converting 4th set point ... In the second set Buji broke Daniel in 1st and 3rd games to lead 4-0 ... And then suddenly Buji's game dipped and he lost next six games to lose this set ... In the final set Buji was 1-3 early down but he broke Daniel in 5th game and again broke him in 9th game to lead 5-4 ... In 10th game Buji missed 3 championship points on his serve before got broken, 5-all ... Again Buji broke Daniel in 11th game to give him one more chance for serving for the match ... This time also he missed championship point at 40-30 before losing this game with double fault ... In tie-break also Buji took early with couple of mini-break, 5-1, but this time also Buji gave Daniel chance for equaling at 5-all ... And at last Buji converted 5th championship point for winning this title ... With this win Buji will again become India's #1 singles player as he will re-enter into top-150 world ranking.

Great Britain powered to a convincing 5-1 win over India to claim third place at the FINTRO Hockey World League Semi-Finals ... Again Indians failed in all departments ... They were poor in defending as gave too much space to opponents ... And again our forward line were non-existent ... We still need lot of improvement in our game but importantly we require to remove deadwood from the team ... Still 4-5 players r replaceable in the team if we really regularly want to challenge top teams.

Sanam wins double crown in US futures ... This is Sanam's 8th futures singles title and the first since 2013 when he won the USA F7 futures title ... In the singles final he defeats American Mitchell Krueger in well contested match ... In the first set Sanam was twice break down, one time Mitchell was serving for the set 5-4, and both time Sanam broke back ... In tie-break both players winning points on their serve before Sanam took mini-break for winning the set ... In the second set Sanam broke Mitchell in 1st game but while serving for the match at 5-4 he failed to hold ... But Sanam kept his concentration and won tie-break for completing the win.

Sanam also lifts doubles title with Darian King ... They won all matches in straight sets.

Indian eve completes important victory over higher ranked Japan for qualify for the Olympics for the first time in our history ... Still it is not official but after continental championships we will definitely going to qualify.

In this match Japan had more possession and dominated ... They earned more penalty corners and more circle penetrations but their penalty corner set up and forwards were poor in front of the goal ... Other hand Indian eve defended well as team ... Savita was excellent in front of goal and Rani scored excellent goal after receiving pss from Vandana in first quarter ... After that our plan was defending and though we successfully managed that but against better team this can back fire.

In MXD Rohan-Maria start with hard fought win in 2 hours 16 minutes long match against Eric and Katalin ... After winning long tie-break Rohan and his partner lose the second ... In the third set also they exchanged couple of breaks but from 4-5 Rohan-Maria won next three games for exciting victory.

Other hand Mahesh performance is disappointing and he lost his MXD match after winning first set ... In this match also his partner Kudryavtseva carried him in first set but after that they failed to challenge their American opponents.

Indians eve complete win in sudden death against spirited Italian ... Italian took early lead but after that we dominated the match ... Our circle penetrations and shots on goal were more than Italian but our forward disappointed ... Rani equalized in third qurter but we should had scored 2-3 more goals in that quarter alone ... After 1-all match went into penalty shoot-out ... After penalty shoot-out scored remained 4-all but in sudden death Rani Pampal converted her penalty and after that our veteran goal-keeper Savita made clean tackle on Giuliana Ruggieri's attempt to help our side for winning this match ... Now earning direct ticket for Rio we are facing Japan.
