Stunning straight games win by Sindhu over WR #2 Yihan Wang in 55 minutes ... In the first game Sindhu kept 1/2 points lead major part of the game ... Only once Yihan was leading 8-6 otherwise Sindhu was controlling the game ... From 16-all Sindhu take 18-16 lead and kept that advantage ... She converted 2nd game point for winning the first game ... In the second game Yihan struggled with Sindhu's attacking game ... From 6-all Sindhu take 13-7 lead but Yihan tried fight back from 11-16 to reduced it to 14-16 ... Sindhu had three match points at 20-17 but Yihan saved all three and gave herself a game point winning 4 points in a row ... Sindhu kept her nerve and won next 3 points for memorable win ... Next she is facing another Wang, Shixian Wang.

Kashyap also scored upset win over WR #6 Yun Hu ... In their previous two meetings Yun Hu was victorious but here Kashyap controlled match from early and scored straight games win in 37 minutes ... After winning the first game easily Kashyap was comfortably leading in the second ... Yun tried fight back from 7-15 down he managed to 16-all but Kashyap brought back concentration and won next 8 points and enter into the quarters ... He is facing local favorite Pengyu Du.

Saina expected to win this match but had bad start ... She lost final 3 points from 18-all and lost the first game ... Saina recovered well and won next two games after dominating from the start ... Next she is facing tricky match against Korean Yeon Ju Bae, against whom these days Saina having mixed results.
