I m really impressed with young Sai ... As qualifier he scored huge upset win over WR #4 Yun Hu in 30 minutes losing only 19 points ... He demolished his 2nd seed opponent with his quick game ... Saina also overcome challenge of veteran Singaporean Juan Gu in close 2nd game ... Earlier this month Juan Gu defeated Saina in their last meeting at Thailand Gold GP tournament ... So good victory for Saina.

Arun-Aparna scored upset win over higher ranked Thai pair in mixed doubles but Tarun-Ashwini failed to give any fight to 3rd seed Indonesian player ... Ashwini also lost with Pradnya in women's doubles ... Aparna-Siki started positively after winning the first game but after failing to win the close second game ended their challenge ... Pranaav-Akshay scored straight games victory after winning the first game in extra points ... Next they r facing 6th seed Korean.

Ajay, Srikanth and Thulasi stretched their higher ranked opponents to three games but failed to complete the win ... Anand Pawar also gave decent performance against top-seed Du ... Guru started well after winning the first game but after that Wei Feng Chong taking lead and Guru was trying to catch him ... In the second game he came near till 18-19 but after winning this game Wei Feng Chong didn't give any chance in the final game ... Kashyap's poor form continued in this tournament ... After winning the first game he failed to keep pressure on Ueda ... Ueda take lead and then Kashyap did catching game ... Kashyap saved 2 game points from 18-20 but Ueda converted 3rd game point ... Netherlands bt Ireland 5-0

Frankly we messed up big way and missed opportunity of scoring outright win over Kiwis men ... So with this draw we r facing formidable Aussies in the quarters after finishing 3rd in the pool ... In this match both teams started with attacking hockey ... We earned 1st penalty corner in 3rd minute which Raghu missed but Black-sticks opened account through Child in 6th minute ... Despite dominating Kiwis failed to increase lead and first-half ended in their favor, 1-0 ... In the second half we started with attacking hockey and Mandeep equalized within 11 minutes and on next minute we take a lead after converting 2nd penalty corner through Raghu taking excellent in-direct drill where Sandeep Singh acted as dummy ... But after 4 minutes Jenness scored excellent diving deflection for equalizing the score, 2-all ... Again inside 2 minutes Kothajit take advantage in-front of Kiwis goal and again gave lead to India ... After that we missed many chances in-front of goal after failing interception of the crosses ... Then Rupinderpal made stupid mistake inside D and gave penalty stroke but Couzins missed hitting cross-bar ... Here advantage was to Kiwis as they were attacking Indian goal post one after another ... When 4 minutes were remaining then Hilton scored excellent goal from top D with reverse flick to equalized ... After that Kiwis pushed for a win but failed to score.

[Q2] (4) Divij Sharan (IND)/ Purav Raja (IND) vs Andreas Haider-Maurer (AUT)/ Jiri Vesely (CZE)

Buji was break up early after breaking Matt in 2nd game ... In 4th game Buji missed couple of break points and Matt broke him in 6th game after converting 2nd break point ... In tie-break Matt take early lead with double mini-break, 4-1 ... Buji take one mini-break on 7th point, 2-5, but Matt hold his single mini-break advantage for winning tie-break ... Missed opportunity of winning the first set.

In the second set Buji take crucial break in 9th game and won the second set

In the final set Buji broke Matt in 2nd game to lead 2-0 ... Both players hold their serves till 8th game without much fuss, 5-3 ... Buji had a match point on Matt's serve in 9th game which Matt saved, 5-4 ... While serving for the match Buji failed to hold his serve and lost his serve after saving 1st break point, 5-all ... In 20th game Buji saved a match point on his serve at 30-40 before holding his serve ... Matt hold his serve after couple of deuce in 21st game ... In 29th game Buji had a break point chance at 30-40 but Matt saved it before holding his serve ... In 30th game Buji was 0-30 on his serve before winning 4 points in a row ... Matt saved another break point at 30-40 before holding in 31st game ... Comfortable hold for Matt in 33rd game as previously he faced a break point in his last two service games ... Matt take 0-40 lead in 34th game before Buji saving 1 match point but failed to save another ... So match ended after more than 3 and half hours.

Disappointed by Buji's loss after his good performance in last two weeks ... Buji had a chance of finishing match in straight sets, which he failed ... Then again he had chance to won this match when he was serving for the match at 5-4 but this time also he failed to hold his serve ... In this match Matt played bigger points better than Buji and that played huge part in final outcome of the match.

Other hand excellent start for Divij-Purav, who scored straight sets victory in the first qualifying ... In the first set our pair broke opponents in 3rd and 5th games to won it comfortably ... In the second set our pair broke Cipolla-Odesnik in 5th game and that break was enough for completing the victory ... In the final qualifying round they r facing unseeded European pair, who upset 6th seeds in the first qualifying.

On clumsy defending Dutch earned penalty stroke in 16 minutes which Jeroen Hertzberger converted ... Indians earned penalty corner in 20th minute but failed to convert ...
