Joshna Chinappa became India’s first Asian Squash Champion when she beat compatriot Dipika Pallikal in a tense and tough five game battle ... In the first 3 games both players gave more than 100% which were lasted for almost an hour ... All three games went to extra points and both players having game balls in each ... Dipika took the first and third, Joshna the second ... After that Dipika was looking tired and Joshna took full advantage of it, winning last two games easily.

Shiv started the final round on 44th position, with a winning total of 16-under, Kapur defeated Malaysian rising star Gavin Green (67) and overnight leader Yikeun Chang of Korea (68) by two shots.

At the Asian Grand Prix Athletics 2017, Jinhua, China

The shot putter Manpreet Kaur came up with the best throw of 18.86m, which was nearly one meter more than her earlier national record of 17.96m that she had set in 2015 ... She clinched a gold in the first leg of the Asian Grand Prix Athletics at Jinhua, China ... With this performance, Manpreet also qualified for the IAAF World Championships to be held in August in London ... The entry standard for women's shot put in the World Championships stands at 17.75m ... This was huge efforts and which was almost a meter long from a previous national record which created by Manpreet only.

We won 1 Gold, 4 Silver and 2 Bronze medals ... Neeraj Chopra (men's javelin), Tintu Luka (women's 800m), Neena Varakil (women's long jump) and Jinson Johnson (men's 800m) won a silver each while Dutee Chand (women's 100m) and Om Prakash Karhana (men's shot put) bagged a bronze each ... In both matches, after losing the first set Uzbeks won the second set but they struggled in humid condition ... Both Uzbek players took medical break in these matches ... Other hand our players showed better fitness and kept hanging in this match ... So good start for our young players and our new non-playing captain Mahesh Bhupathi.
