P. V. Sindhu has achieve what Saina could not ... In her first World championship Sindhu is in the semi-final beating two former #1 Wangs ... After her win against Yihan Wang in the quarter final Sindhu defeated Shixian Wang in straight games ... In this 55 matches Sindhu played smartly and kept her couple of points lead till end in both games ... In the first game Sindhi take 6-3 lead from 3-all which she kept till end ... From 15-19 Shixian tried fight back and reduced lead to 18-19 but Sindhu won next 2 points and won this game ... Same story repeated in the second game as Sindhu take early 6-2 lead ... This time Shixian caught her at 6-all but after that Sindhu take 3 points lead, 9-6 ... Shixian tried to catch her but she failed to do so and Sindhu converted second match point for win in 55 minutes ... In the semi final Sindhu is facing tough challenge of WR #3 Thai teenager Ratchanok Intanon ... In their only meeting at India open in April 2013 Sindhu managed to win mere 18 points in her loss ... Hoping for better fighting performance from Sindhu.
Other hand Saina again choked in the quarter final of World championship ... This was fourth time she lost in quarter final which is her best result ... In the first game Saina take huge 9-2 lead but Yeon kept fighting ... She caught with Saina at 19-all ... Saina had a game point at 20-19 but she failed to convert ... Other hand Yeon converted 2nd game point after excellent comeback ... In the second game from 4-5 Yeon won next 5 point to lead 9-5 ... Saina was making too many unforced errors ... From 14-9 Yeon won next 7 points for comfortable win in 40 minutes ... Last 8/9 points Saina played with showing lack of interest, may be she was injured but I m really disappointing with her performance and lack of passion on the court.
Kashyap missed big chance of creating upset and securing place in the semi final ... In the first game both players were exchanging lead but from 13-all Kashyap opened two point lead which he kept increasing and won this game ... In the second game Pengyu Du opened big 7-0 lead but Kashyap kept trying ... From 12-16 Kashyap won next 6 points to lead 18-16 ... At that time Pengyu Du was under pressure but Kashyap failed to take advantage ... from 17-19 Pengyu Du caught him at 19-all ... Kashyap won next point and had match point but he failed to convert it ... Other hand Pengyu Du won next three points and won the second game ... In the third game from 3-all Kashyap take four point lead, 7-3 ... But from 8-12 Pengyu Du produced superb comeback ... After this Kashyap managed to win only 3 points more ...
