India reach semi-finals for first time in Women’s Junior World Cup history ... In the semi-final they r facing tournament favorite Netherlands.
Indians girls played attacking hockey in this match and produced entertaining match against Spanish team ... Spanish team showed intensity and take lead after converting first penalty corner in 7th minute ... Indians equalized within three minutes when Monika scored in 10th minute ... Afterwards Indian girls dominated ball possession but failed to convert scoring opportunities ... Spanish team regained their lead in 30th minute through their captain ... One minute before half-time Navneet Kaur equalized for India through superb reverse stick shot ... In the second half Indian girls kept increasing pressure on Spanish team ... First time in the match our girl take lead through penalty corner conversion from in-form Vandana and then Rani extended to two goals lead on 48th minute ... Afterwards Indians girls defended really well and showed character in their game.
