Cara Black and Sania Mirza needed just 59 minutes to defeat defending champions Hsieh Su-Wei and Peng Shuai, 6-1, 6-0, in the doubles final at the BNP Paribas WTA Finals Singapore ... This was the last tournament for Sania and Cara as partner, Cara is already declared she will sit out in 2015 season for giving more time to her family ... So this was fairytale ending for Sania-Cara partnership to lift year-end tournament title ... With this Sania become first Indian player to lift year-end title.

In their previous two matches Sania-Cara needed to save match points before winning these matches ... In the final they had different plan ... Peng-Hsieh won first game but afterwards it was one-way traffic ... Sania-Cara won next twelve games in a row for this dominating win breaking their opponents six times in the match.

After Day 14 India has eleven Gold, nine Silver and thirty seven Bronze medals.

The Indian men's kabaddi team win their seventh successive gold medal at the Asian Games after coming from behind to beat a spirited Iran 27-25 ... Indians managed to take a lead only in the 37th minute of the match, that's tell us story of how much this match was tough ... From beginning Iranians played very discipline game ... They were defending and attacking precisely other hand Indians made some silly mistakes to gave points to opponents ... At one time Iranians were leading by 10 points in the first half, 7-17, at half-time Indians were behind by 8 points, 13-21 ... At that time Iranians cruising towards their historical first Gold ... But everything changed in the second half ... Indians raised their game and played perfectly without taking any risk ... They won 8 points in a row to make it 21-all ... Iranian again take 21-24 lead but again Indian won 5 points in a row to first time taking led in this match 26-24 ... This time Indians hold their lead for historic win ... In the second half Indians managed to score 14 points and Iranian only managed 4 points.

In another well fought match Indian women's team beat Iran 31-21 for its second successive kabaddi gold medal at the Asian Games ... A neck-and-neck start saw both teams defend extremely well ... At one time Iranians were only 2 points behind 10-12 but the Indian defence came out on top to give them a 15-11 lead after the first half ... In the second half our women showed supremacy and didn't gave much chance to Iranians ... In end they won by 10 points margin.

Indian Volleyball men's team finishes on 5th position beating Qatar 3-2 ... Though match stretched to five sets still Indians were looking in a control ... Good performance by our team to finish in 5th position.

In closely contested match India beat Pakistan 4-2 in penalty-shootout to win the hockey gold at the Asian Games in Incheon after 16 years ... This win also ensures the Indian hockey team a berth at the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Indian team started slowly and Pakistan take advantage scoring early lead ... In the first period Indians failed to enter in Pakistan D till end of the period ... At that time SV Sunil missed sitter in front of goal ... In the second period Indians were increasing pressure on Pakistan goal and equalized through Kothajit Singh ... In next two periods both teams played keenly contested match but failed to score despite creating numerous chances ... In the one-on-one shoot-off, our goal-keeper P R Sreejesh produced breathtaking saves to deny Pakistan's Abdul Haseem Khan and Muhammad Umar Butta ... Muhammad Waqas and Shafqat Rasool scored the goals for Pakistan ... For India Akashdeep Singh, Rupinder Pal Singh, Birendra Lakra and Dhramvir Singh scored and Manpreet Singh failed to convert.

Indian boxers ended their campaign with five medals as Vikas Krishan and Satish Kumar settled for bronze medals after losing their semi-final bouts against respective opponents ... In the Superheavyweight (+91 kg) category, Satish was no match for 6ft 9 inch Kazakh giant Ivan Dychko, who won with a clear 3-0 verdict in all the rounds ... In the middleweight (75 kg) category Vikas lost against current World Champion Zhanibek Alimkhanuly of Kazakhstan by split verdict of 2-1 ... Putting an end to the status of the bronze medal won by Indian boxer Sarita Devi, the Olympic Council of Asia on Thursday reinstated her medal in the 60kg category after a hearing with India's Asian Games contingent officials in Incheon.

In boxing, M C Mary Kom scored a convincing 3-0 victory over her taller Vietnamese opponent Ler Thi Bang ... She will now fight against Zhaina Shekerbekova of Kazakhstan for Gold medal ... But controversy hit our boxers as our two besr boxers need to settle for Bronze after bias judging in favor of Korean boxers ... L Sarita Devi (60kg) had to settle for a bronze medal despite dominating her semifinal bout against home favourite Jina Park ... And in men's L Devendro Singh (49kg) was better boxer in the ring than South Korean ... In other bout Pooja Rani (75kg), also had to settle for a bronze after losing a closely-contested semifinal bout to China's Li Qian.

In hockey, Akashdeep Singh scored a fabulous field goal in the third quarter to guide Indian men's team into the finals after a gap of 12 years ... In this match our defending was very good but other hand our forwards missed many chances ... For Gold medal match we r facing Pakistan, who defeated us in Group 1-2.

India bagged their first-ever medal in the Asian Games women's sailing competition as 16 yrs old Varsha Gautam and crew 18 yrs old Aishwarya Nedunchezhiyan won a bronze in the 29er Women's Two Person Dinghy event.
