Huge upset win by Ajay over WR #12 Wing Ki Wong in three games ... After winning the tight first game Ajay was leading 13-8 in the second ... He lost concentration afterwards and lost this game but in the final game he fought back ... Ajay won the final game using tactics of keeping Wing Ki Wong back of the court ... Next he is facing Spanish opponent Pablo Abian.
Kashyap had easy match against 98th ranked Estonian but he made it tough ... Kashyap lost the first game but afterwards came back strongly and won next two games easily ... Next he is facing Czech opponent Petr Koukal.
Saina and Sindhu received first round bye as a seeded player.
Disappointing outing for our doubles pairs as all pairs lost who played ... Ashwini-Pradnya started well winning the first game in extra points but lost last two tight games against Danish pair ... Ashwini-Tarun fought back in MXD after losing the first game ... They won the second game comfortably but failed to keep momentum in the final game.
