Sameer Verma lifted his first GPG tournament title beating Sai Praneeth in straight games ... Before that Sai defeated Srikanth in the semis and young Harsheel Dani lost against Sameer ... In the quarters, Sameer defeated WR #15 Danish player Hans-Kristian Vittinghus comfortably.

In women's doubles final, Ashwini and Sikki failed to overcome challenge of top-seed Danish pair and lost in straight games.

In MXD, it was the first time the final played between Indian pairs in GPG tournament ... Sikki and Pranaav lifted their first GPG title beating Ashwini and Sumeeth in straight games ... We received favorable draw and having a great chance of qualifying for the 2019 AFC Asian Cup ... India was seeded into the second pot for the draw, thanks to their latest FIFA ranking 129th..

India will start their campaign by playing Myanmar away on 28th March before hosting Kyrgyzstan on June 13th ... After that back to back matches against Macau on September 5th (away) and October 10th (home) ... Then we host Myanmar on November 14th before finishing their group matches away to Kyrgyzstan on March 27th, 2018.

In the first game, Chochuwong was leading most of the part but Saina saved a game point before converting her first game point ... In the second game, both players were neck to neck till 12-all ... From here Saina opened the gap and she had 4 championship points at 20-16 ... Chochuwong saved all four of them but Saina converted fifth for lifting this title.

From the second set, Yuki struggled with his ground strokes and started making too many unforced errors ... Saki lost in straight sets against Youzhny after giving decent fight ... In the first set Saki had a break point in 5th game which eh failed to convert ...
