In the 5th game World champion Yifan had white pieces as in the previous game ... The players continued with the same line they already played in the 4th game ... They accepted draw after 43rd move.

In this round also it seemed that the black pieces would again dominate a round ... Nepomniatchtchi, Aronian and Carlsen had a significant edge but they failed to convert in a win ... So again 5 draws.
