At the FIDE World Chess Championship 2013, Chennai, India (November 9th to 28th, 2013)
Game Six
GM Viswanathan Anand (IND,2775) 0-1 GM Magnus Carlsen (NOR,2870) (2-4)
Magnus Carlsen is looking in total control of World championship ... Today he defeated Anand with Black pieces following his yesterday's win with White pieces ... So after six games Carlsen is leading 4-2 and only 2½ points away from World championship in six remaining games.
The game was a solid, uninspiring Ruy Lopez ... The position simplified and an endgame arose with draw predictions from all sides ... Carlsen got a slight initiative, won a pawn, then another one but the rook ending was probably still drawn ... However this time also Anand again failed to find the best defense and had to resign after 67 move.
