Kashyap scored upset win over WR #8 Thai Boonsak Ponsana ... In the first game both players were neck to neck till 14-all ... Here Boonsak opened couple of points lead and he had 2 game points at 20-18 ... But Kashyap won the game winning next 4 points in a row saving 2 game points against him ... In the second game Boonsak opened 10-13 lead but after that Kashyap gave him only 2 points before winning the match ... Next he is facing Japanese Kento Momota.

Saina started confidently taking 5-2 lead which she increased to 15-5 ... Nozomi tried fightback but Saina won the first game comfortably ... In the second game Saina started with 3-0 lead which she extended to 10-6 ... Nozomi fought back winning next 5 points to lead 11-10 ... After that both players were neck to neck till 19-all and then Saina won next 2 points for completing the victory ... Next Saina is facing tricky Chinese girl challenge.

Arundhati surprised everyone with her straight games win against experienced and top-15 Japanese Eriko Hirose ... In the first game Arundhati opened 7-3 lead which she kept increasing for comfortable win ... In the second game both players were neck to neck 10-all ... From 14-all Arundhati opened 5 points lead, 19-14 ... Hirose tried fightback winning next 4 points, 18-19 but Arundhati won next 3 points for straight games win ... Next she is facing former WR #1 Yihan Wang.

In other matches Anand started confidently and won the tight first game against Ueda but after than Ueda dominated the match and won last two games comfortably ... Ajay also lost close two games against Korean qualifier Son ... In their previous meeting also Son troubled Ajay and that trend continued in this match.
