At the FIDE World Chess Championship 2013, Chennai, India (November 9th to 28th, 2013)
Game Two
GM Viswanathan Anand (IND,2775) ½-½ GM Magnus Carlsen (NOR,2870) (1-1)
This time more moves but quicker draw after 25 moves ... This game played with sharp Caro-Kann Defense ... Anand mentioned that he was surprised by his opponent's opening play ... Game was very sharp but after queens were traded and the position’s tension vanished ... It is clear the players are still cautiously prodding and studying each other ... Still today's game was moral victory for Carlsen ... Next game is after tomorrow's rest day.
