In the semis, Sindhu defeated WR #2 Akane Yamaguchi in closely fought two games ... In this match also slow start for Sindhu as Yamaguchi opened 0-5 lead ... Sindhu caught her at 8-all and from 10-12 she won next 8 points to take the 18-12 lead ... Sindhu kept that lead for winning the game ... In the second game, Yamaguchi took control in the beginning and was leading 4-8 ... She was looking in the control at 12-19 but Sindhu had a different idea ... Once again she made an amazing comeback and won next 8 points and gave herself the 1st match point at 20-19 ... Yamaguchi saved that and had a game point at 20-21, but Sindhu saved that, 21-all ... Yamaguchi saved one more match at 22-all but Sindhu converted the third match point for an excellent win in 55 minutes.
