In shooting under 25m Pistol Women event, Rahi Sarnobat won a gold in a close shoot-off with Thai shooter Yangpaiboon ... Rahi won it in the third shoot-off as both shooters were missing multiple shots ... Both shooters created game record of 34 hits but in the shoot-off both were off the mark ... Rahi also becomes the first Indian women shooter to win gold in a women's event at the Asian Games ... As before this, our women won 4 silver and 6 bronze medals ... Young Manu Bhaker finished on the 6th as she struggled to score in the final but before that she shot brilliantly in the qualifications to qualify for the final in the top spot ... Manu's score of 593 wasn't just a Games Record but it's also one point above the Olympic Games Record of 592 ... Rahi qualified for the final on the 7th position with 580.
In Men's Greco-Roman 87 kg category, Harpreet lost close bronze medal bout against Kazakh wrestler Kustubayev ... Before that, he defeated last Asian games silver medalist Japanese wrestler, Masato Sumi, comfortably but lost convincingly in the semis against last Asian games gold medalist Rustam Assakalov.
In Wushu, our four players lost in the semi-final of Sanda in their weight categories ... So with that we assured 4 more bronze medals ... Impressed with young 17 yrs. old Roshibina Devi in Women's 60 kg category ... Gyandash Singh Mayanglambam finished on the 4th position in Men's Taijiquan and Taijijian All-Round event final.
In the Artistic Gymnastics women's team final, our girls finished on the creditable 7th position.
In the Swimming Men's 4x100m freestyle relay, our team finished on the last position clocked 3:25.34sec timing.
Indian men's hockey team breaks their own 86 year old record of biggest margin ... Previous best was 24-1 and to day they defeated Hong Kong team 26-0.
