At Asian Champions Trophy, Ordos, China
India dw Malaysia 2-2
Goal Scored - Ravi Pal (IND) 9', Danish Mujtaba (IND) 53' and Tajuddin Jalil (MAS) 25' PC, Muhammad Amin (MAS) 32' PC
Recently always good result is followed by draw or defeat but probably playing two matches within the space of 20 hours had taken its toll on our team ... For me more worrying part is our incapability of scoring goals on penalty corners ... Today we wasted 4 penalty corners and Malaysia scored both goals from penalty corners.
Indian again started with attacking hockey and managed to score early goal ... After that Malaysian take control through mid-field and scored couple of goals due to silly mistakes from our players ... At half-time we were down 1-2 ... In the second half both teams were attacking ... Malaysians had 4 penalty corners but they failed to convert ... We managed equalizer from diving Mujtaba and then both teams failed to score winner.
After this match India is having 8 pts and now our final match against Pakistan on Friday will be treated as virtual semi-final.
