This year Himmat Rai became the third Indian player to win an Asian tour tournament ... S.S.P. Chowrasia was the first one to win Avantha Masters, the joint event with European tour ... Then Anirban Lahiri who won the Panasonic Open ... But both of these events were in India and now Himmat won an event outside India.
After completion of fourth round 5 players were tied for top position ... Himmat secured his maiden Asian Tour victory in style when he sank a 25-foot birdie putt at the sixth play-off hole, beating Filipino Elmer Salvador.
