Pankaj become the first ever Indian to win a medal in any edition of Sangsom World 6Reds Championship since its start in 2008.
Pankaj had a great run throughout the tournament and reached till the medals round without losing any match ... This includes an outstanding victory over former World Pro Champion Ding Junhui in the first round-robin match ... But in semis, he couldn't repeat the same result and lost 4-7 against Ding to settle-down for Bronze.
Before that Panakaj qualified for knock-out stage after winning Group C.
