Mariyappan Thangavelu is also the third Indian to win a gold at Paralympics after Murlikant Petkar (Swimming, 1972 Heidelberg) and Devendra Jhajharia (Javelin Throw, 2004 Athens).
Mariyappan Thangavelu won Gold medal in High Jump T42 Varun Singh won Bronze with 1.86m jump ... In same event Sharad Kumar finished on 6th with 1.77m ... Yesterday Ranbir Narender finished 4th in Javelin Throw - F42/44 with his personal best 54.30m throw ... Farman Basha also finished on 4th with 140kg lift in 49kg Powerlifting event.
Shockingly the Rio Paralympics website has showing a blank instead of the names of the three Indian Athletes.
And also video link from Rio.
