Goal Scorers - Rupinder Pal Singh (IND) 6' PC, Akashdeep Singh (IND) 9', Mandeep Singh (IND) 56' and Muhammad Waqas (PAK) 3' PC
Australia dw Malaysia 1-1
New Zealand bt Korea 3-0
India scored their first win against their arch-rival Pakistan in entertaining match ... Pakistan take early lead in 3rd minute through penalty corner conversion by Waqas... But Indians responded by converting their 1st penalty corner in 6th minute through Rupinder Pal Singh and after 3 minutes Akashdeep Singh gave us lead ... Indians kept their lead at half-time with some solid defending by Harbir Singh ... In the second half both teams missed few chances before we increased lead through field goal by Mandeep Singh on rebound in 56 minutes ... We played dangerously inside our own D and conceded total 9 penalty corners but we were lucky as Pakistan managed to score through the first only ... Today Shreejesh was outstanding in front of the goal ... Still famous win for our young team over full Pakistani team.
