[QF] (1) Saina Nehwal (IND,3) vs (6) Tzu Ying Tai (TPE,10)

Only Saina managed to win her match to enter into the quarter-final ... Saina scored comfortable win over Nedelcheva in 30 minutes ... In the first game Nedelcheva take early lead, at one time she was leading 12-8 but after that Saina gave her chance to win 3 more points before winning this game ... In the second game Saina take control from the start and won it comfortably ... In the quarters Saina is facing Taipei's Tzu Ying Tai ... Tai defeated Saina in their last 2 meetings most recently in January at Malaysian open.

I was hoping better result from Kashyap ... He lost in previous 2 matches against Chong but that was before 2010 ... In the first game Kashyap take early lead but Chong caught with him at 9-all ... From 10-all Kashyap opened couple of points lead which he maintained till the end ... In the second game from 4-3 Chong ran away with the game ... Kashyap managed to win only 4 more points before losing this game ... In the final game both players were neck to neck until 8-all ... Chong won next 5 points to lead 13-8 but Kashyap caught him winning next 5 points ... But from 15-all Chong won next 5 points and converted 2nd match point for upset win.

Prannoy gave fighting performance in his loss against Chou ... After losing the first game he fought back to win the second but Chou's experience proved turning point in the final game ... Still creditable performance by Prannoy in this Gold GP tournament.

Disappointed loss for Sindhu against Hashimoto ... Singhu take early lead and at one time she was leading 14-6 but Sindhu lost this advantage and Hashimoto caught with her at 18-all ... Sindhu wasted two game point at 20-19 and 21-10 ... Hashimoto converted her first game point ... In the second game from 3-5 Hashimoto take control and won it convincingly ... So Indian players struggle against Japanese opponents continue.

WR #3 Ko and Lee proved too strong for our young pairing of Akshay and Pranaav.
