At Zurich Chess Challenge 2013, Switzerland

Another young talent is emerging after Magnus Carlsen ... 20 yrs old Italian-American Fabiano Caruana won the Zurich tournament by a full point ... In the final round he defeated Gelfand in the Catalan game ... The game was moving towards draw but Gelfand made couple of crucial errors after 50th move and Caruana take full advantage of it and won this game in 58 moves.
Anand needed victory to improve from his last position ... Anand and Kramnik started with the Ruy Lopez opening but Kramnik outplayed Anand early ... Kramnik was in better position but he played big blunder move 21. Qb8 and also didn't exchange queens ... Anand take this opportunity and won this game in 27 moves ... With this win Anand finished on sole 2nd position with 3 points.
