Saina won see-saw battle against Shixian in long 73 minutes match and maintained her positive winning record against her ... In the first game Shixian take early 7-3 lead but Saina made it 7-all ... After that both players were neck to neck until 16-all ... This time Saina opened 3 points lead, 19-16, but Shixian caught her at 19-all ... Both players saved one game point each before Saina converted her second game point and winning the first game in extra points ... In the second game Shixian opened 6-1 then 7-2 lead but Saina caught with her at 8-all ... Shixian again opened 13-8 lead after winning 5 points in a row ... Saina responded strongly winning next 9 points to lead 17-13 and then 18-15 ... Shixian won next 4 points to lead 19-18 and then she won next 2 points from 19-all to take the second game ... In the decider both players were neck to neck until 7-all before Saina winning 7 points in a row to lead 13-7 ... After that Saina didn't give much chance to Shixian for fight back ... Shixian managed to reduce lead to 12-15 but Saina didn't lose the control of the game ... She converted 2nd match point for good victory ... Next Saina is facing young Thai Ratchanok Intanon ... In their last meeting in December at BWF Superseries Finals 2012, Ratchanok defeated Saina easily.
Kashyap failed to produce much fight against Chen ... Chen won it comfortably in 43 minutes.
