At half-time both teams were 1-all ... In the second half Malaysians started with attack but Indians were defending well ... Indians forward line wasted many chances as they failed to intercepts crosses from their feeders ... Rupinder converted 2nd penalty corner through very powerful hit and gave lead to Indians ... Indians were receiving many cards due to their physical game ... Captain Danish received green card in 66th minute and Indians conceded penalty corner in 68th minute ... On that penalty corner Malaysian earned penalty stroke, Indians protested but umpires remained firm on their decision ... Faizal Saari converted that and denied India place in bronze medal match.
