Ajay started with comfortable victory over Singaporean qualifier ... After winning the first game Sindhu faced resistance from her Japanese opponent but in the third Sindhu dominated to win it comfortably ... Sasaki take early 7-2 lead against Guru which Guru failed to overcome ... Guru saved 3 game points but Sasaki converted 4th to win it ... Same story repeated in the second game also ... Sai Praneeth won the first game before losing the second ... In the final game Sai take lead in the middle of game 14-9 which he kept till 19-16 ... Liew caught with him at 19-all still Sai had match point at 20-19 but failed to convert it ... Kashyap gave fighting performance but lost in straight games against Hidayat ... Anand was no match to Lee ... Our all doubles pair lost in straight games.
