Men's Discus Throw - Final

Men's Hockey - Group B
India l Belgium 0-3
Goal Scored - Jerome Dekeyser (BEL) 15', Gauthier Boccard (BEL) 47', Tom Boon (BEL) 67'
Disgraceful performance by Ranjith in triple jump qualifying ... He fouled out himself in all three chances ... Total waste of money of tax-payers as we send this guy to train in Italy and participated in few tournaments before Olympics ... Hopefully AAFI will take some action on him and ban him from participating from India in future.
Another story of missed chances for Indian hockey team ... We again failed to intercept ball inside the D and whenever we intercepted then we failed to score ... Both teams received two penalty corners but both teams failed to convert from that ... Belgium had better defense and excellent goal-keeping by Vincent Vanasch ... Other hand our players fumbled inside the D, they failed to clear the mark and no man-to-man marking by our players ... On the field we didn't look like unit ... So we ended our group matches without a single win.
Vikas failed to repeat his qualifying performance of throw over 65 meters ... His first throw was 64.79 meters and that was remain the best for the night for him ... The Bronze medalist throw was 3.5 meters better than Vikas.
