Mery Kom had tough bout considering she was playing her second bout inside 24 hrs and her Tunisian opponent was playing her first bout of the tournament ... Mery Kom didn't show any tiredness in her match ... Both boxers played cautiously in the first round which Mery Kom won 2-1 ... In the second round also both boxers were looking defensive, this round also Mery Kom won 3-2 ... In the third round Mery Kom started aggressively which surprised Tunisian Maroua Rahali ... Mary Kom won this round convincingly, 6-1, and take 7 points lead ... In the final round Mary Kom defended well and won this round 4-2 to complete comfortable win ... In the semis Mary Kom will face favorite British boxer Nicola Adams, who is current World champion ... But reaching in the semis has confirm medal for Mary Kom ... This is our best medals haul in the Olympics, we r bettering our previous record of 3 medals from Beijing Olympics.

In shocking result our big medal hope Vijender lost close bout against Uzbek Abbos Atoev in the quarter final ... Though Abbos Atoev 2 times world champion still Vijender had better record against him ... In their last bout at 2010 Guangzhou Asian games Vijender won the gold medal beating Atoev 7-0 in the final ... Here both boxers started cautiously which ended first round at 3-3 ... In the second and third round both boxers were aggressive and tried to attack but Atoev managed to land more scoring punches that Vijender to won both rounds with similar 7-5 score ... As per commentators another case of bad judging by judges ... They thought Vijender was clear winner from this close bout.
