After first two rounds Ronjan Sodhi was tied for 5th position and 4 shots behind British shooter ... He was needed solid final round but he missed too many and managed only 42 from 50 ... So with 134 score he finished on 11th position and 3 shots behind final qualifying.
In Men's 25m Rapid Fire Pistol, after first round Vijay Kumar is 5th with 293 score ... Vijay Kumar having big chance to qualify for the final if he repeat such performance tomorrow in the second round.
In lightweight Kazakh Gani Zhailauov proved too strong for Jai Bhagwan ... Jai won the first round 3-2 but afterwards Gani dominated ... He was very aggressive in the second round and scored few points ... Other hand Jai received warning for bending too many times ... Gani won this round 10-3 ... In the final round Gani defended and won it 4-2 to book place in the quarter final.
In Middleweight category Vijender scored very exciting but hard fought victory over American boxer ... Both boxers played aggressive boxing but Vijender was lucky to pull victory ... Typical cautious start from both boxers in the first round ... Vijender won this round 4-3 and this one point lead turned crucial in the end ... In the second round both boxers tied 5-5 ... In the third round aggressive boxing by both boxers ... Both were earning points with scoring punches but again this round ended 7-7 and Vijender won 16-15 ... In the quarter final Vijender is facing Uzbek Abbos Atoev.
Saina entered into her first Olympics semi-final with win over Tine Baun ... In this match both players were making numerous errors with some suspicious line calls from line judges ... In the first game Saina take early lead and kept increasing ... From 11-20 Tine saved 4 game points but Saina converted 5th game point to win this game ...
