Kashyap cread history after becoming first Indian man to reach the quarter-finals of the Olympic Games after beating Sri Lankan shuttler in three games ... After winning the first game Kashyap lost momentum in the second though he saved 8 game points still Niluka won the second game ... In decider Kashyap rasied level of his game and won it comfortably to enter into the quarter final.

Saina started positively and take early control against Jie Yao ... Jie Yao tried dnumerous tactics but Saina comfortably won the first game ... In the second game Jie Yao played lot better and put pressure on Saina ... Saina made few errors but she brought back her composure and won important points to complete victory in two games.

Sawarn Singh finished 2nd in Men's Single Sculls semi final C ... With this he will qualify for Final C, means will race for 13th to 18th placing.

In Women's 25m Pistol our both shooters disappointed finishing low 19th and 30th place.

Very disappointing loss of Indian men in the hockey ... We were very disoriented against Black sticks despite scoring early goal ... After that Black sticks dominated match.

In the first set both pairs failed to break opponent's service game ... French had couple of break point on Lee's serve in 11th game but failed to convert ... In tie=break 2nd seed French pair had couple of mini-breaks to win it comfortably ... In the second set Vishnu and Lee broke Tsonga's serve in 1st game with excellent returns ... Our pair kept this one break advantage to win this set ... in the final set our pair put pressure on Tsonga and Llodra's serves in their first two service games but French pair managed to hold ... French pair made some excellent returns to take important break on Lee's serve in 8th game ... When Llodra was serving for the match then our pair put pressure on his serve ... We saved couple of match points but French pair also saved couple of break points before converting third match point ... Creditable performance by Vishnu with Lee in this match.
