With well deserve lucky break Somi in the final.
Match report - Devvarman had a tough three-setter with No. 2 seed Bobby Reynolds in the second round, he’s the most rested finalist. He caught a break when Xavier Malisse – already down two service breaks at 4-1 – took a medical time-out. A couple of points later, the veteran who was once No. 19 in the world (August ’02), retired with tightness in his back and glutes. “While I’ll be a little fresher for the final, it’s not good to win this way,” Devvarman said. “But, it was an honor to step on the court with (Malisse), a guy who when he’s playing well is one of the best in the world.”
”To me, it's just tennis. I just try to keep it simple,“ Devvarman said. ”I don't think of the transition (from college to the pros). I'm trying to enjoy my time on the court because I'm playing well. I know it's not going to last forever, but I'm going to try delay it as long as I can.“
