1. Niccolo CAMPRIANI (ITA) (599 pts + 103.5 pts) 702.5 pts
2. Peter SIDI (HUN) (599 pts + 101.4 pts) 700.4 pts
3. Gagan NARANG (IND) (597 pts + 102.0 pts) 699 pts
Gagan Narang finished on podium to secure first quota place in 10M Air rifle for the 2012 London Olympics ... Well deserving result for Gagan Narang, who is the current world record holder in this event ... After making it into the final in fifth place with 597 points, Gagan moved up in third place by scoring 102.0 points during the final.
Gagan Narang - “Abhinav Bindra finished on the podium of the last World Championship, in 2006. I am happy that another Indian has made it to the medals here in Munich” said Narang after the awards “I have been struggling with the materials in the last months, but now it’s ok. I am ready to go for the Games!”
