Peter Gilchrist (SIN) 851 (268, 205, 145, 89) bt Dhruv Sitwala (IND) 831 (316, 118, 109, 93)

Mike Russell (ENG) 1127 (633, 231, 79) bt Kyaw Oo (MYA) 850 (239, 187, 109, 95, 78)

Dhruv was unlucky to found himself again against Peter Gilchrist after quarter-final draw ... He fought well but Peter scored important break in the end to scored win by only 20 pts ... First time in the tournament Mike struggled with his game against Kyaw Oo, but his another one 600+ break helped him to scored victory against Kyaw Oo.

Geet didn't have any big 300+ break but he was very consistent in his visits to table ... He hardly play less than 50 pts in every visit, in end dominating win over Ashok ... Pankaj Advani at last got form at right moment in the tournament ... After first session he was down 570-684 but in second session he didn't give a chance to Rupesh to visit the table and played his best break of World Championship ... He scored 709 pts unfinished break, this was his first 500+ break in the World Championships ... His best break is 867 pts, which he scored in 2006 Nationals at Chennai.

So both semi-finals matches r very interesting as worlds top-4 players facing each other.
