[R2] (2) Sania Mirza (IND)/ Elena Vesnina (RUS) l Vera Dushevina (RUS)/ Shahar Peer (ISR) 46 46

Sania and Elena had a surprising early exit from Qatar open as they lost in straight sets against Peer and Dushevina ... In this match both pairs struggled with their service games ... Sania and Elena broke their opponents 2 times and Peer and Dushevina broke them 3 times in the first set ... In the second set our pair broke them once but got broken twice.

Another poor result for Mahesh and Rohan ... They really need to start clicking as soon as possible as Olympics deadline is coming near and their doubles ranking is falling down.

[SF] (3) Karan RASTOGI (IND)/ Rohan GAJJAR (IND) vs Yu CHANG (CHN)/ Xin GAO (CHN)

Good hard fought win for Karan against local player ... He need these wins to give him confidence on his own game ... Gajjar also scored tight win against local wild-card player ... In the second round both playing against players in-form, who r currently around their best singles ranking ... So good test for our players.

In doubles Karan and Rohan moved into the semis after scoring win against Germans in STB ... They r only non-Chinese pair remaining in the draw.

Vijayant Malik withdrew from this futures ... Hopefully nothing serious injury worry and only precautionary step before 3 weeks of Indian futures series.
