India had winning start against Singapore ... So with this win we secure our place in quarter-final, though we still need to win our next match against Macau but I feel that is formality.
Our doubles teams helped us to win this tie after Kashyap gave us a winning start ... Sourabh Verma lost his match and Anand's inconsistent performance continued ... In 5th rubber he lost his match in 3 games.
Major blow for Indian women team before their Uber cup match ... Saina Nehwal is struggling with viral infection (throat infection) ... Also a injury to Arundhati Pantawane's left eye has forced to skip the Uber Cup despite being selected in the Indian squad ... Becoz of that her performance also suffered in the senior nationals held in Bangalore recently ... Arundhati is currently recuperating at home, nursing the ulcer in her eye which had affected her vision badly.
