Leander pulled superb upset victory over 3rd seed Llodra and Zimo partnering Radek Stepanek in 2 tight sets ... In the first set Lee and Radek were 3-5 down and they broke Zimo while he was serving for the set to make it 5-all ... Again they broke Llodra to won the first set so after 3-5 down they won next 4 games ... In the second set Lee and Radek dominated the tie-break to won it comfortably and book place in the quarter-final.

Mahesh and Rohan failed in their first real test against better doubles team at Australian open ... Ram and Lipsky defeated this big serving pair ... After winning closely fought the first in tight tie-break they proved too strong for Indians ... They broke Mahesh's service games in 4th and 8th games to completed straight sets victory.

In Juniors Arjun lost against French qualifier in straight sets though in the second set he manged to take his opponent's in tie-break ... Ratnika failed to create any challenge to her American opponent ... Young Rutuja started positively against higher ranked Croatian girl ... She won the first set but in the second set both players had multiple breaks ... After taking crucial break in 9th game Mekovec hold 10th game after deuce to won the second set ... In the third set Rutuja was early break down ... Mekovec again broke her in 7th game to and completed victory winning her next service game.
