Yuki is arrived on the big ATP scene ... He had terrific start against Beck, Yuki won the first set in 37 mins ... He lost his serve once but broke Beck three times to won the first set comfortably ... In the second set Yuki broke Beck in 2nd game and take 3-0 lead and he again broke Beck in 6th game to lead 5-1 ... Beck fought back breaking Yuki in next game to make it 5-2 ... On his serve Beck saved a match point in 8th game ... In 9th game Yuki hold to completed this memorable victory over Beck in 1 hour and 20 minutes ... This is Yuki's first main-draw victory in Chennai Open before this he had win on ATP tour at Malaysian Open in 2010 when he defeated lowly ranked local player.

Vishnu played match of his life ... In the first 2 sets he was better player on the court than WR #36 Dodig ... He had 6 match points in the second set, 3 of them in tie-break, which he failed to convert ... Those were big opportunities he missed to score best win of his career ... In the middle of the third set when he was 1-2 down his muscle pulled in left leg ... After that he had trouble in moving on the court and he had trouble in regular jump serve ... But Vishnu showed courage on the court and did not conceded his match and played till the end to show his respect to the spectators.

In the first set both players were until serve until 9th game ... While serving for staying in the set Dodig failed to hold his serve as Vishnu put pressure on him with his spirited game ... After winning the first set Vishnu had a chance of breaking Dodig's serve early in the second set but Dodig survived ... Again in 10th game Vishnu put pressure on Dodig's serve and had a match point at 30-40 but Dodig saved that ... Again in 12th game on Dodig's serve Vishnu had couple of match point at 15-40 but he again failed to convert ... In tie-break Vishnu take mini-breaks in 2nd, 6th and 10th points ... Dodig take mini-breaks back in 4th and 8th points ... Vishnu had another 2 match points at 6-4 ... Dodig's saved one on his serve but Vishnu put weak serve on his serve and Dodig managed to make it 6-all ... At 7-6 Dodig hit powerful serve to saved 6th match point ... Vishnu saved a set point at 7-8 but Dodig take important mini-break at 8-all and then with powerful serve won the second set ... In decider Vishnu had couple of break points in the first game, 15-40, but again failed to convert ... Dodig broke him in 2nd game to take 2-0 lead ... Vishnu immediately responded in next game and broke Dodig to brought set on serve, 1-2 ... But in 4th game while serving Vishnu pulled his muscle in left leg and after that he was struggling on the court ... Dodig take full advantage of it and won match in 2 hours and 40 minutes ... Still creditable fighting from Vishnu, unlucky to lose this match.

Another disappointing news, India's top ranked singles player Somdev Devvarman today pulled out of the Aircel Chennai Open because of a recurring shoulder injury ... Frenchman Edouard Roger-Vasselin will replace Somdev in the singles main-draw.


Somdev Devvarman - "With great disappointment, I have to inform the fans and organisers of the Aircel Chennai Open 2012 that due to a recurring shoulder injury I will not be able to participate in this year's event."

"Keeping the Australian Open in mind, my doctors have advised me to take this decision. I wish the tournament all the success and look forward to be back next year –- fitter and stronger."

After winning the first set Sania and Elena was controlling the second 5-1 ... But after that they lost momentum and lost their serves twice ... At 5-all they broke opponent's serve again and then Sania served for the match ... She hold to gave them winning start for 2012 season.
