Commonwealth Games 2010
At XIX Commonwealth Games 2010, New Delhi

On Day 7 India won 5 Gold, 5 Silver and 5 Bronze mMedals ... We again moved to 2nd place winning more golds than England, so after end of day 7 we are having 29 Gold, 22 Silver, 22 Bronze medals.

In tennis as expected Somdev won Gold medal beating 5th seed Australian Greg Jones comfortably, 64 62 ... In womens doubles Sania and Rushmi won Bronze medal beating Poojashree and Nirupama Sanjeev 64 62.

In wrestling we won 1 Gold, 2 Silver and 1 Bronze medals ... Sushil Kumar won expected Gold medal but Anuj Kumar and Joginder Kumar lost summit match.

In Athletics India won 2 Silvers ... Vikas Gowda won Silver in Discuss throw and Prajusha surprised everyone winning Silver in Long Jump.

In Recurve Individual Women event 16 yrs old WR #4 Deepika Kumari won Gold medal ... She won all her matches comfortably to win this event ... Dola won Bronze medal beating Malaysian archer after losing semi-final to British archer ... In Recurve Individual Men Jayanta surprisingly lost one-sided to Canadian archer in semis but Rahul Banerjee didn't give a chance of slipping Gold medal from Indian.

In shooting Harpreet Singh won Gold medal upsetting other top shooter including senior Vijay Kumar in Singles 25 m Centrefire Pistol ... Vijay Kumar won shoot-off between 4 players to won Silver medal after 4 players ended on 574 pts ... Manavjit Singh Sandhu won Bronze medal in Singles Trap Men ... He qualified for the final tying for top spot but had poor final round and managed to win Bronze in shoot of against Australian Adam Vella ... But disappointing result for Suma Shirur and Kavitha Yadav in Singles 10 m Air Rifle Women, they finished 4th and 5th respectively.

In Badminton our players moved into next round with comfortable wins ... In boxing also our many players are in medal round, but disappointing loss of Manpreet Singh against Northen Ireland boxer due to 2 warnings, which cost him 4 pts and he lost 10-11.

In hockey India played very attacking game and defeated Pakistan 7-4, in half-time we were leading 4-2 ... So with that win we qualified for semi-final on 2nd place from Pool A behind Australia ... India will play against England in semi-final.
