Whole match played in rain, but surprisingly our team showed their best performance of the tournament in this muddy condition ... First time I saw our team playing like whole unit, who were supporting each other ... Turkmenistan had their chances in the first half but condition were tough to score and Subarata Pal was as usual excellent.

I was very much impressed with our young defenders ... 22 yrs Gouramangi Singh played his best match ... Superb defending and supporting mid-fielders by him ... Anwar Ali also supported well ... Surkumar Singh was doing usual leg work with feeding forward passes.

B'day boy Sunil Chetri gave superb pass to Baichung in the first goal and in second Baichung scored on acute angle header on Surkumar Singh's corner kick.

With this win India topped the Group A with 7 pts and Tajikistan finished 2nd on 5 pts.
