Both Indian teams need to win the ITTF Olympic Team Qualification tournaments stage 2 for the qualification of Tokyo 2020 after their round of 16 losses.
Our men's team faced a surprising loss against the #11 seeded Slovenia men's team ... After winning the doubles match, Sathiyan and Sharath lost their singles matches against Darko Jorgic and Harmeet lost against Bojan Tokic ... In Stage 2 quarter-final, they r facing the Czech Republic team.
Our women's team missed a big chance of scoring an upset win over the #5 seeded Romanian women's team ... Manika and Sutirtha defeated the top-20 Bernadette Szocs and increased our chances ... But in the last match, Manika lost one-sided against a lower-ranked Daniela Montiro Dodean ... In Stage 2 quarter-final, they r facing a French team.
