Our men's team is the 5th seed, they started with a win over #32 seeded Luxembourg ... Sathiyan started slowly as he lost the first 2 games but he fought back to win the next 3 games ... For Olympic qualifications, Indian men are facing #11 seeded Slovenia men's team.
Our women's team scored an upset win over the higher-seeded Swedish women's team ... Manika Batra won her both matches and our young paddler, Archana Girish Kamat, scored a comeback win over a top-75 ranked Linda Bergstrom in the final match ... Archana saved a couple of tie points (match points) before winning the tie for India ... Qualifying for Olympic, our women need to beat the #5 seeded Romanian women's team.
