Prannoy really choked in the Semis which seems to be becoming an unwanted trend in Indian Badminton where our players seem to come extremely close to winning in Big matches & just missing out in the end. It is high time that the services of a sports psychologist should be considered by BAI & the chief coach Gopichand so that these close matches are converted into victory & our players are more often on the right side in terms of result in such nail biters than the other way round!
Oh no! -The story gets repeated with Sindhu in the semis as well. It cannot be a co-incidence every time. Though victory & defeat are 2 sides of the same coin, the frequency with which it is happening in big matches is too hard to swallow! With the talent Sindhu has, she should be winning prestigious tournaments like All England etc rather than ending up as a Semi Finalist or runner up. I sincerely hope sports psychologist services should be hired at the earliest across all Olympic Sporting disciplines!
Good point of using services of sports psychologist, but I feel, Gopi is right person to take a call on that ... Also here our players struggled a lot on new service rule.
