[R1] (6) Sumit Nagal (IND,225) l Jurabek Karimov (UZB,614) 57 46
Doubles
[QF] (3) Vishnu Vardhan (IND)/ N. Sriram Balaji (IND) bt (WC) Ye Du (CHN)/ Qun Gao (CHN) 62 64
[QF] (2) Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan (IND)/ Christopher Rungkat (INA) bt Hiroki Moriya (JPN)/ Yusuke Takahashi (JPN) 36 63 10-5
[SF] (2) Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan (IND)/ Christopher Rungkat (INA) vs (3) Vishnu Vardhan (IND)/ N. Sriram Balaji (IND)
Very surprising loss of Sumit against former top-10 junior player Karimov ... In the first set, Karimov broke Sumit in 6th game to lead 2-4 but Sumit immediately broke him ... When serving for staying in the set, Sumit failed to hold his service game and lost the set ... In the second set, Sumit broke Karimov in 1st and 3rd games to lead 4-0 ... But something went wrong from 4-1 and 40-0 as he lost six games in a row for losing the match ... He made too many unforced errors in this match ... So hopefully he wil end his season this week and take time off before taking off-season training.
Bala-Vishnu r in the semis with a comfortable win over local pair ... they will be facing Jeevan-Chris, who scored a comeback win over experienced Japanese players in the match tie-break.
