Terrible start for our players as our players lose their first 4 matches ... Our both doubles pair lose their matches against lower ranked pairs ... Prannoy lose against Chinese opponent ... Ajay misses big opportunity of upsetting Ng Ka Long Angus ... He missed few chances in his loss in three games.
Qualifier Sameer break our losing streak of Indians beating WR #12 Yun Hu in convincing fashion ... In this match Sameer didn't give much chance to Yun Hu as in both games he took lead from the beginning.
Srikanth scores really good win over local favorite and British top singles player Rajiv Ouseph in straight game ... In the first game Rajiv too 5-1 lead but from 12-14 Srikanth won next 5 points to lead first time in this game, 17-14 ... Srikanth kepth that lead for winning this game ... In the second game Srikanth kept control from the start and took 9-4 lead which he kept increasing for winning this game comfortably.
Saina also start with comfortable win over Canadian Michelle Li ... In both games Saina was in control and didn't show any lack of match practice due to injury break.
Sai scores biggest win of his career and also become first Indian to beat Malaysian legend and former WR #1 Lee Chong Wei ... Though this match ended in two games but both games closely fought ... In the first game Lee Chong Wei took 11-3 lead and cruising comfortably ... Sain made amazing comeback in this game as from 7-15 he won next 8 points for 15-all ... After that both players were exchanging points ... Sai saved a game point on 20-19 and converted his third game point for winning this game ... In the second game both players were neck to neck till 6-all than again Lee Chong Wei opened lead to 16-10 ... Again Sai fought back for reducing lead to 12-17 then 16-18 ...
