Again old story as only Saina manages to reach in the quarters with convincing victory over Thai girl Busanan Ongbumrungphan ... Busanan little stretched Saina in the first but in the second Saina didn't give her much chance ... In the quarters Saina is facing Taipei girl Tai Tzu Ying, against who Saina generally struggled in the past.

Disappointed by overall performance by our male players in Olympic year ... Srikanth fail to challenge Kento in one-sided loss ... Sai also fail to built on his first round's upset win over Lee Chong Wei ... He lost in three games against his Danish opponent Vittinghus ... After winning the first game Sai didn't managed to keep momnum in next two games ... Sameer gives fighting performance against his Chinese opponent but he also lose in three games ... Sameer won the first game easily but Tian came back to win the second easily ... Sameer tried hard in the third but Tian won important points for completing the win.
