Croatian pair proved too strong for Bala-RamK as Croatian pair broke them twice to won the first set ... In the second set also they were break up at 5-3 but RamK-Bala had 3 break points in 9th game when Croatian pair was serving for the match ... RamK-Bala missed all 3 chances and they lost 4 points in a row to lose match in 58 minutes.

Pospisil's powerful forehands worked for him in this match and other hand Yuki struggled with his services ... Pospisil take early break, 1-4 and kept that advantage for winning the first set ... In the second set also Pospisil broke Yuki is 1st game and then take another break in 9th game for comfortable win ... But overall good Chennai open for Yuki as he became only third Indian player, who reached the quarter-final after Leander Paes and Somdev Devvarman ... This performance will help Yuki to improve his ranking ... He will be in top-175 and mostly climb to his new career best singles ranking.

Saketh-Karen lotst their doubles semifinal against 4th seed Brunstrom-Nielsen in straight sets ... So with that Indian challenge got over in Chennai open 2014.
