The London Super Sixteen rapid tournament has started ... Players are divided into four groups initially, to play a double round robin between them and determine two qualifiers to the knock out stages ... Points calculation - 3 points for a win and 1 point for draw.
In the first round Anand defeated McShane playing with black pieces after 46 moves ... In the second round Anand and Adams played a "real game" instead of a rapid and played some theory, exchanged some pieces and solidly drew ... So after two rounds Anand and Adams r leading with 4 points from Group A.
