Tennis News
At Wimbledon 2013, London, Great Britain

Doubles
[R1] (Q) Divij Sharan (IND)/ Purav Raja (IND) l Nicholas Monroe (USA)/ Simon Stadler (GER) 76(4) 62 36 46 46

Heartbreaking loss for Purav and Divij against Monroe and Stadler in five setter ... Divij and Purav started well breaking Monroe and Stadler early but Monroe and Stadler fought back to break back in 7th game ... Divij and Purav kept their cool in tie-break for winning the first set ... Divij and Purav dominated the second set and won it with double break but from the third set picture started turning ... Monroe and Stadler used their all experience of playing on ATP tour and made excellent comeback ... They won next three sets with a single break and I would say they gave little lesson to Purav and Divij that the match is never finished until someone wins it.

As expected former top-100 local player Thomas Schoorel proved too strong for Jeevan on the clay ... In the first set from 2-1 Jeevan lost next 5 games and then he was never in the match.

Good win by Ramkumar against in-form player Vega Hernandez, who reached quarters and semis in last few weeks futures ... Ashwin having very tough first round against top-225 type Canadian Steven Diez, two weeks back against same player Ashwin lost in straight sets.

As usual weak draw for this Indian ITF tournament ... Only 3 foreigners in the draw but interesting match up for Ankita Raina ... In the first round she faced Treta and defeated her comfortably ... Next she is facing veteran Rushmi ... Interesting match to see progress of Ankita.
