We were lucky in the end as we managed draw against spirited Irish team, who was looking better on the field ... Need improvement in defending and finishing inside the circle against Kiwis and Dutch side.
Match was evenly fought early and Akashdeep gave lead to India but Irish team responded with 2 goals in 5 minutes and take control of the match ... After end of first-half Irish team was leading 2-1 ... Rupinder Pal converted 2nd penalty corner in 40th minute and then Shivendra Singh deflected the ball in goal and gave lead to India ... But due to mistake by Raghu and Gurmail inside D we conceded first penalty corner and Irish team converted through Harte ... After 7 minutes Irish Andrew McConnel scored goal of the match with a diagonal hit from 25-yard, Sreejesh couldn't do anything with this goal ... Indians earned another penalty corner in 2 minutes and Rupinder Pal scored to equalized ... In last 4 minutes Irish team made numerous circle penetration but failed to score and match ended in a draw.
